We like our Garmin Nuvi 500. It's for driving and walking. It's weather proof. It's great for caching because you can download all the cache information and logs right into it. The screen is big too. And it talks to me. My favorite is when it says "Recalculating" after I don't go where it wants me to go.

Don't you just love the inflection she gets in her voice when recalculating ... my unit, a 760, sounds really ticked off. The same voice is on the magellan but doesn't sound quite as annoyed. Sometimes I will route differently just to hear the inflection.

When I'm bored I tell my Nuvi to speak French. Don't understand a word of it, but it sounds funny!

I have a 255w i love it when it gets confused on hairpin turns. I have the skull hand pointing the way and it starts to quiver and shake. The only problem is we almost drove off the road laughing at the nuvi.
