On or about June 19, (2010) a new powertrail of 1051 caches along the Extraterrestrial Highway in Nevada will open. Expect the record to exceed 1000 by the time GW8 rolls around.
It looks like a few got archived, according to
this post. The power trail owners (Clay and Gus) received this email from Groundspeak:
Hi Clay and Gus,
I'm afraid I have some news that will be disappointing to you. The Nevada DOT has demanded that the ET Hwy series be immediately archived and the Nevada Attorney General is involved. We will have a group of admins working on this project since it is so big, and request that you help by archiving some of them yourself.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
