WOW lots of newer units being used here... Im surprized nobody slammed me for talkin smack bout the Colorado and Oregon! LOL

I just didnt have good luck with my buddies Colorado...seemed so much easier to get around with my Map60csx and I had features I used regularly that the Colorado didnt have yet. Just seemed to need more buttons and functions. May just take some gettin used to. So far, I love my Map60...Dont think I have a reason to upgrade yet wink Just in the same boat as the SoHumsquirrel with my palm! Soon as I figure that, ill be stylin!...ill check the link!

Everyone has had good and bad experinces with the colorado and probably the oregon from what ive seen.No need to slam:)) You should be enttitled to your opinon.I just thought the oregon had far less problems then the colorado from what the forums were relating so I took a chance.I use the map 60csx as a backup.I use a palm z22 for backup pda though I dont reccommend it as cant view the screen outside. The tungsten E2(I think its called) works well.

I used a Garmin iQue M5 for the first couple of years, and I was very happy with it - PDA and GPSr in one. It got dropped and broken, and is a unit without support anymore, so I went with the Colorado as the next-best choice a year ago. Might have gone the Oregon route if it existed, but it did not.

Every new GPSr has a learning/comfortability curve. After a year, I'm pretty comfortable with the Colorado.

I wrote a piece of software that lets me edit the visited text file offline before uploading, which speeds up the process (at least for me).

Speaking of the Oregon, Garmin just announced a $50 rebate program that runs until May 10, 2009.

Throwing in my 2 cents on batteries. I believe that the Sanyo eneloop is the best rechargeable on the market, they come precharged and last and last, I go days on a set and I never turn the thing off when I am out and about. Costco sells the whole set.
Compact Flash holders from Radio Shack make great battery holders.

Here's one I found online, but I use a different type (that I cannot find the link to). I have an extra that you can have.
