Plan now to volunteer for the 4th Annual City of Eureka Community Clean Up scheduled for Saturday, May 8, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. You can volunteer for four different sites: The Eureka Boardwalk, Halvorson Park, Elk River Wildlife Sanctuary, and the Palco Marsh.

Participants will receive a sports bottle and T-shirt by pre-registering before May 1! Team Up to Clean Up! Plan to register using Lost Coast Geocachers as the organization name!

A Volunteer Appreciation Event will be held after the clean up on the Boardwalk with live music and a BBQ at 3:00 p.m. During the volunteer appreciation event, an opportunity drawing will be held for participating volunteers with gift certificates provided by City of Eureka merchants.

It would be nice to be all at the same site but not a requirement. Which one is most centralized?

Vanna will recall that everyone went to the Boardwalk after the clean up for music, raffle, and lunch. I chose the Boardwalk last year for one-stop parking and the beautiful views.

That sounds good to me since I'll probably have the Clan with me. What do other's think? Chime in if you have an opinion every one!
