Tomorrow, Sep. 22, is the Autumnal Equinox.

For anyone working on The "Day" Challenge, it's been a while since the last relevant holiday, so don't forget to find a cache tomorrow.

Yes, I am interested in completing this 'Day challenge' cache!
Tomorrow is indeed the time of the Autumnal Equinox, and it occurs at precisely 2:19 PM our time....I think it would be neat if one were to sign the log sheet/log book at 2:19 PM!!

Thanks for the reminder, Nylimb....Happy Caching

What time did you get to Batter Up?

I finally managed to find Fellowship of the Ring, which seemed appropriate since Sep. 22 is also the birthday of several people mentioned on the cache page. (But I didn't find it until about 5:00 PM.)

5 holidays down, 8 to go. As long as I always save a few local caches to look for on holidays, I should be OK.

Unfortunately, I could not sign in on any cache before about 3:30PM or so due to errand obligations and the such....Oh well, I at least have a cache that qualifies.

As long as you are doing The "Day" Challenge you might want to consider the Days of the Year Challenge. willy

I thought that I'd almost qualify for this already. But I checked my list of finds, and it turns out that I'm still missing 65 days of the year.

So now I have a dilemma: If I start trying to fill in the gaps by finding local caches, I could end up not having anything to find on the holidays needed for The "Day" Challenge. Geocaching certainly leads to difficult choices sometimes.

I'm missing way too many days for the Days of the Year Challenge. I'd have a better chance to go for the 24 hours of caching record of 413 caches. Or maybe I'll just try to find eight more sweetj caches. willy laugh

I'm sure everyone knows that Monday, December 21 (2009) is the Winter Solstice, and a day in the The "Day" Challenge.

Don't forget to find a cache this Friday, Dec. 25. And another one a week later, on New Year's Day.

All I want for Christmas is my 9'th "Day" Challenge find.

To all "Day" Challengers:

The Vernal Equinox is this Saturday, so be sure to find a cache then.

I only need this one and Earth Day (April 22), and then I'll be done. (Except for the small detail of going to Folsom Lake to sign the log...)

For all "Day" Challengers, this is your triskaidecannual notification of an upcoming holiday: Thursday, April 22 is Earth Day.

For me, this will be the last day of the challenge. (Unless, of course, I don't find a cache that day, in which case I'll either have to start over or give up geocaching forever.)

Well, I finished the prerequisites, and with a nice symmetry: Both my first and last finds for the challenge were FTFs of sweetj caches.
I just hope I can get to Folsom Lake sometime to find the actual cache.

For those of you still working on The "Day" Challenge, there are 3 holidays coming up:

Tomorrow (Sunday, June 20) is Father's Day.

The day after tomorrow (Monday, June 21) is the Summer Solstice.

Two weeks from tomorrow (Sunday, July 4) is Independence Day.

After that you can relax until September 22.

It's been almost a year since I started this thread, and another Autumnal Equinox is coming up. So if you're still working on The "Day" Challenge, or you're doing The 2010 Option be sure to find a cache this Wednesday, September 22.
